Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using XRAY Money, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service. These terms apply to all users, including individuals on free trials and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

XRAY Money is a personal finance tracking application that allows users to record transactions, set budgets and goals, generate reports, and manage shared finances with household members. The service is provided on a subscription basis with multiple plan tiers.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately at support@xraymoney.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • One person may not maintain more than one free account.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at checkout. Prices are displayed in your local currency where supported.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing settings page. Access continues until the end of the current paid period.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
  • All payment processing is handled by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

5. Free Trial

New accounts may be eligible for a free trial period. At the end of the trial, you will be automatically moved to the free tier or charged for the selected plan. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue free trial offers at any time.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code.
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data from the service.
  • Resell or sublicense access to the service without our written consent.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and software comprising XRAY Money are the intellectual property of XRAY Money and its licensors. Your use of the service does not grant you any ownership rights. You retain ownership of the financial data you enter into the application.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of XRAY Money is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

XRAY Money is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Financial data displayed in the app is based solely on information you provide — it is not financial advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, XRAY Money shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that we reasonably believe is harmful to other users or the service. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
